This week, I decided to focus Tech Talk on something near and dear to my heart... indispensable iOS apps. Why is this so important to me? I believe that ultra-portable computing (tablets, phones, etc) is the future, and when I say "future", I mean now.
I have my iPhone with my 100% of the time, and I have my iPad Air with me 90% of the time. Both serve a specific purpose, and both are invaluable to me and my workflow as a technologist. As the technology landscape continues to change on a daily basis, I literally couldn't perform my job today without them. As impressive as these devices are though, they don't fulfill all my computing needs. That's where 3rd-party apps come in.
As of today, there are well over 1 million apps available on Apple's App Store. Sure, there are some pretty bad apps out there, but at the same time, there are some really, really great apps. Apps that will blow your mind and will change the way you work and play. This week, I will introduce you to five of my favorite 3rd-party iOS apps, and explain why I highly recommend each of them.
