I receive email and documents all the time that contains language that is sometimes hard to understand because quite frankly, they contain words that I'm not accustomed to in every day language. I'm guessing that I'm not alone. This tip will improve your efficiency tremendously by allowing you to look up the definition of words on the fly.
OS X has this great utility built-in that allows you to view the definition of a word. Not just in Mail or Safari, but in ANY app... system-wide. To use this feature, simply right-click (⌘+click) on any word and choose "Look up [word]".
