iWork for iCloud Beta Now Available to All

This morning, Apple made available their iWork for iCloud beta for all users to try. Previously, it had only been available to registered developers. As you may know, iWork (as a standalone) is their suite of productivity apps (Keynote, Pages & Numbers) that competes with other industry solutions such as Microsoft Office. Documents saved via Apple's free iCloud service on various hardware devices (iOS devices, Macs, etc) will automatically sync with their iWork on iCloud offering, allowing you to begin work on one device, and continue it on another device.

I've been working with the beta for a while now, and overall, I'm impressed. The one glaring feature that is missing, in my mind, is the ability to allow others to collaborate on a file with me (I'm referring to the collaboration functionality built-in to Google Docs). Maybe that will come with version 2 of the online suite.

To use iWork for iCloud beta, log on to www.icloud.com.

Try it today! It only requires that you have a free iCloud.com account.
