I'm Thankful For...

The United States sets aside one day of the year where we, collectively as a nation, focus on the many things that we're thankful for (most countries do the same). That day is today... November 28).

While I try to give thanks every day of the year (not just one day), Thanksgiving Day is a great opportunity to specifically pause and reflect. It's impossible to list all the things that I'm thankful for, but I thought I would publicly list just a few of those on my very, very long list.

First and foremost, I am thankful for my family. I have been very blessed with an incredible wife and wonderful children (six of them!). They are so supportive of me and have given me so much more than I could possibly imagine giving them (I do try, however).

They say that money is what makes the world go 'round. I beg to differ... I believe it's friends. I am thankful for the friends that I have and always look forward to making new friends. Friendship is very important to personal growth.

I have had my fair share of health challenges but am extremely thankful for my good health. I do all I can to treat my body with respect, and I know that it will pay off in the long run.

I have worked in the technology sector for roughly twenty years and continue to love working here every single day. I thrive on challenges and love to learn new things each and every day.

I'm thankful for great teachers. Not just teachers in formal educational institutions, but every day teachers. These are they who devote their lives (whether intentionally or not) to help educate those around them in the lessons of life and the pursuits of happiness.

The right music can do wonders for enhancing life (for better or for worse). I certainly claim to be a musician, but do I claim to love good music

Art & Design

Like music, good design and artwork can help make life more enjoyable. I'm thankful for these things for helping to simplify and making things more enjoyable.

This is by no means a complete it's, but it's a start (I could go on for pages and pages and pages). Regardless of what it is, spend time today and every day looking for things that you are thankful for.

Happy Thanksgiving, today and every day.
